Stories We Tell At Parties – Rob Suski’s Revelation

Here is a pilot episode for an idea I had for a podcast called, Stories We Tell At Parties. The concept is pretty simple; someone tells me a story, whether funny or serious, that they might tell to regale a group of listeners at a party. I also bring in other people involved for their point of view on the situation.

In this pilot episode, radio morning show host Rob Suski (one half of The Rob and Shauna Show on C95 in Saskatoon), tells me a story about a girl he thought he was dating in high school. 30 years later, his parents revealed a shocking (and hilarious) revelation that threw Rob’s conception of his entire identity into question. We’re also joined by Joanne (and Jerry) Suski, Rob’s wonderful parents, who fill in their side of the whole thing.

Take note that this is a great story and any production issues are on my end, as I was working through the process to create something like this. I think it turned out well, but if I do more episodes, I’d do some tweaking on a number of things.

Thanks to Rob and the Suskis for being a part of this. Thanks to Layne Jones and Shelby Emro, two great audio producers I work with, for their help with some of the technical aspects. And thanks to you for listening! Enjoy!
